How to deliver hormogaunts in 3 simple steps

So my mind is running wild at the moment. 90 poisoned (4+) attacks with re-rolls to wound is kind of a big thing, so the delivery of 30 hormogaunts into CC is a kinda cool idea. But how do you footslog 30 hormogaunts, un-touched across a table, Simple!

Step 1: their armour sucks
Hormogaunts have a 6+ armour save (woo.....) which means they will get insta-killed by about anything with the power of a 2 year old with a stick. SO give them a moving cover save! Venomthropes give you a nice bubble to hide your Hgaunts in. "but real cover is better" i hear you say. The problem with that is you need to move from 1 piece of cover to the next, which may slow your advance. "Venomthropes will just be targeted and taken out" and that is shots not spent on your Hgaunts.

Step2:  I realize the cover save sucks
Tervigon HQ.. 'nuff said, put him at the front of your advance, and slap the Vthrope behind him so it cant be targeted. throw catalyst on the 30 Hgaunts and there you have more safety for your little buggy's. sure they insta-die to str 6+ weapons, but how many of those can your opponent throw at you? Likely around 10 Hgaunts will fall to those heavy weapons, because you still have your cover save :)

Step 3: Thats all well and good but arent you putting all your eggs in 1 basket
you've got your loverly little bubble of death but your enemy just throws everything at it and it dies :( The Answer; Genestealers. Having a threat range of 18" means even if they start 18" from the enemy they have the potential to be in combat turn 1. Now if i had to choose between maybe killing some Hgaunts and such that will reach me in2 turns or not being ripped apart by 20 genestealer on turn 1, I'd kill the stealers. THats the play, youve given your opponent something more imediatly threatening then your Hgaunts meaning they have a choice of targets.
On top of that your tervigon is spewing out termagaunts which will throw shots into priority enemy targets and give them yet another target!

The list:

Tervigon - Catalyst, Regen, Toxin Sacs, Scything Talons-220pts

30 Hormogaunts - Adrenal Glands, Toxin sacs - 300pts

2 Venomthropes- 110pts

20 Genestealers - Broodlord, scything talons  - 366pts

Total = 996pts

When your opponents isn't packing much armour this is great IMO, if you up the points to 1250 then you can nicely fit in some anti-armour in the form of zoanthropes or hive guard or even a T-fex for those out there people.

But at 1k points I wouldn't anticipate anything much stronger then rhinos and razorbacks or equivelant.

Quick, now flame me!
